About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team. This is a key, customer-facing role focused on designing and implementing cutting-edge cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions for our national and enterprise-level system integration initiatives across sectors such as energy, telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, and government. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for solving complex business challenges, with particular emphasis on enterprise integration architecture, API strategy, and middleware modernization.
You will be responsible for translating customer requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architectural designs that support our clients’ digital transformation journeys, and providing technical leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle utilizing our wide portfolio of technology partner offerings
Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their strategic business goals, technical requirements, and challenges.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and workshops to define the scope and vision for new solutions.
- Design and architect end-to-end solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with customer objectives.
- Create and present detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and strategic roadmaps to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Define, enforce, and continuously improve architecture governance frameworks, standards, and reusable reference architectures across projects.
- Develop and execute integration strategies, including middleware rationalization, API management, and event-driven architecture adoption.
- Provide expert guidance on cloud-native technologies, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Designing AI-integrated solution architectures including MLOps pipelines, AI inference services, and intelligent data platforms
- Understanding ML model deployment architectures, model serving patterns, and AI/ML infrastructure requirements for solution design
- Evaluating emerging AI platforms, foundation models, and AI-as-a-Service offerings for incorporation into solution architectures
- Embedding AI ethics, explainability, and responsible AI principles into solution architecture governance frameworks
- Architecting data platforms and analytics solutions that support AI/ML workloads and data-driven decision making
- Lead the technical aspects of large-scale system integration projects, ensuring seamless interoperability between disparate systems.
- Mentor and develop junior architects and engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Guide development and engineering teams to ensure that the implemented solution adheres to the architectural design and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating their offerings and ensuring alignment with solution requirements.
- Support pre-sales activities by contributing to proposals, conducting technical demonstrations, and participating in client workshops.
- Provide guidance on data architecture, data governance, and analytics integration within solution designs.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to strict security standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Apply FinOps principles to ensure cloud solutions are cost-optimized and aligned with client budget constraints.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader, sharing best practices and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Candidate Attributes
- Exceptional technical breadth across cloud platforms, integration technologies, enterprise architecture, and security, with the ability to synthesize complex requirements into coherent, implementable designs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience delivering executive-level presentations, architecture review board sessions, and client-facing workshops.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with demonstrated experience in mentoring architects and developers across distributed, multi-vendor teams, and ideally experience leading architecture practices or centers of excellence.
- A continuous learning mindset, evidenced by active pursuit of industry certifications and a commitment to staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Deep business acumen, with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes and contribute to business development efforts.
- A holistic risk management perspective encompassing technical, commercial, and delivery risks, with the ability to balance innovation with pragmatism.
- Literacy in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) and Agile delivery methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or executive education in business strategy or digital transformation are a strong advantage.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or integration architecture roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on major Cloud Service Provider (CSP) platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Multiple active professional-level certifications from major CSPs and/or architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe) are highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native principles and technologies, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Solace, Kafka).
- Strong, demonstrable experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Experience with large-scale, national, or enterprise-level system integration projects, including legacy modernization, platform migrations, and multi-vendor integration programs.
